Default Epcot to get new dining options

Probably not new news but I figured I'd post it anyway

The San Angel is going alfresco. They are adding a 400 seat outside dining option with a "perfect" (their words) view of Illuminations. They will serve lunch and dinner. They are set to open in the fall of 2010.

The same restaurant group that operates Tutto Italia is opening a traditional Neopolitan pizzeria. It will seat 300. It will feature wood-fired pizzas made from imported water, to try and mimic the taste the pizzas of Naples. It will also feature pastas, salads, and sandwiches and of course wine. There will be indoor and outdoor dining as well. It is scheduled to be open in time for the F&W festival 2010.

We've seen the construction wall for San Angel. It really crowds Mexico which is a pretty popular country.

There is the FWF kiosk there selling some small items, and it's doing a ripping business.

I can't help but think something nice has gone away. We don't much eat Mexican food, but loved the Cantina. We'd get a little snack of something or a margarita and just soak up the sun... will miss it.

I can't imagine pizza... honestly, I can't! LOL. There isn't a decent pizza in all of Florida, so this I 'gotta see'. LOL.

Never ate at San Angel or the Cantina. About the only thing I ever had in Mexico was a frozen Margarita , so I don't have much of an opinion either way. I figure they will do anything to ease the pressure on the Rose & Crowns' demand from people who dine on the patio to catch Illuminations.

As for pizza-I'm a New Yorker and honestly I don't have much faith in any pizza not made with city water. I know it sounds crazy but you can't make a decent slice or bagel without it-so maybe that will be their secret water source lol! A heck of a lot cheaper then importing it from Italy
Although the wood-fired pizza is good-it's not same thing as a nice thin crust Neopolitan pizza.

Oooh I hadn't heard that. I'm always game to try new restaurants although I haven't tried the new Cat Cora greek place yet.

Neither have we-but we would like to. But like any new restaurant-you gotta let them work out the kinks

I really like Cat Cora and have made some of her recipes. I'd like to try the new restaurant, but I'm so off Disney dining lately that I'm not sure I'll do it any time soon.
